Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Stephanie Perkins' "Anna and the French Kiss" was such an enjoyable romantic read. The setting of the story in which it occurred in Paris, France has what got me interested in reading the book. The story reminded me of those early 2000s movies, where it mostly consisted of cliché and romantic plots. I remember reading this book multiple times as a teenager so I could feel all the giddiness all over again. Stephanie Perkins did a really great job at manipulating the emotions of the readers as the story unfolds. I have read other reviews how Stephanie Perkins were accurate with the locations and portraying experiences of someone moving to Paris for the first time. The story focuses the cultural shift that Anna has to adapt in after living in America since childhood. The story unfolds the cultural shocks that she experiences while living in Paris, and how she experiences a French romance along the way. I adored the story a lot. I wanted to visit every place that was mentioned in the story. I went to Paris over a year ago, and I was so eager to visit a particular museum that was mentioned in the book: Centre Pompidou, only to find out that it was close when I was there. I hope to visit Paris again sometime in the future and live my own version of Anna and the French Kiss.
