The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Khaled Hosseini's book "The Kite Runner" are one of those books you wished to read for the first time again. The Kite Runner holds such a heart wrenching story, leaving the readers feel a huge empathy with the characters. It covers the unfavorable circumstances of what it is like to live in Afghanistan, and the type of trauma and sacrifices people experience when living in such a destructive country. Despite many years has elapsed since I read this book, I still feel the heaviness and huge sorrow with what the characters went through. Khaled Hosseini's truly unravels the unfortunate circumstances of the innocent lives living in Afghanistan. It opened up my perspective about Afghanistan -- as many wouldn't think much about the people, but more about the the terrorism aspect instead. Khaled Hosseini made me sympathize with people living in a horrid county. I truly recommend this book to anyone. It is one of those books that will leave you feeling destructible.
